National Water Company Completes Over SAR 58 Million in Infrastructure Projects to Boost Water Suppl

The National Water Company (NWC), represented by its Southern Cluster in the Al-Baha region, has successfully concluded two water projects with a combined value exceeding SAR 58 million. These projects are strategically designed to enhance the company's infrastructure and improve overall operational efficiency.

The initial project centers around the construction of a crucial reservoir in Baljurashi Governorate, boasting a substantial capacity of 75,000 at a cost exceeding SAR 56 million. The primary objective of this undertaking is to augment the strategic stockpiling of drinking water in the governorate. Alongside the reservoir, a pumping station with a total capacity of 12,960 cubic meters per day has been established. This addition aims to increase water storage capacity and expand the coverage of water services in Baljurashi Governorate and its surrounding villages.

The second project involves the finalization of watering intakes and the creation of reservoirs in Al-Mazraa and Al-Qura governorates within the Al-Baha region, with a total investment exceeding SAR 2 million. Serving villages such as Al-Hakman, Al-Humaidan, Al-Atawala, Al-Atawala West, Al-Qahad, Bani Muhammad, Al-Qahban, Al-Hadwan, and Al-Mazraa, this initiative addresses critical water supply needs. The Al-Mazraa reservoir project, boasting a capacity of 5000 m³, and the Al-Qura reservoir, with an equivalent capacity, are integral components of this comprehensive undertaking.

These completed projects underscore NWC's commitment to bolstering water infrastructure, ensuring reliable and expanded water services, and strategically increasing the storage and distribution capacities to meet the growing demands of the Al-Baha region and its local communities.
