NCA opens applications for 2nd cohort of cybersecurity Accelerator program

Riyadh, October 09, 2023, The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has announced the launch of the 2nd cohort of its cybersecurity Accelerator program, extending an open invitation to all local cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups to apply for this unique opportunity. Applications for the program are now being accepted.


This initiative is a significant step forward in the NCA's ongoing efforts to nurture and strengthen the local cybersecurity landscape. It seeks to empower local entrepreneurs and startups by providing them with access to investment opportunities, mentorship, and valuable insights from both local and global experts.


As part of the broader CyberIC initiative undertaken by the NCA to enhance local cyber capabilities, the Accelerator program offers financial support to its participants. Additionally, it provides more than 500 hours of comprehensive mentorship spanning various aspects of business, including finance, marketing, product development, and investment. The program, conducted in collaboration with the NCA's technical arm, the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), is scheduled to run from 2022 to 2024 and aims to empower at least 45 cyber startups. In its current edition, the program is focused on supporting the growth of 10 cybersecurity startups.


The Accelerator program features an intensive 12-week curriculum that includes workshops and mentorship sessions led by renowned local and international cybersecurity experts. Moreover, participants will have the unique opportunity to embark on field visits to Silicon Valley and other prominent locations, where they will interact with leading global cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups. These interactions will provide valuable insights into the latest industry innovations and trends.


The Cybersecurity Accelerator plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation within the Saudi cybersecurity sector and developing innovative solutions to address cybersecurity challenges. It is in alignment with the NCA's strategic goals, which aim to strengthen the local cybersecurity ecosystem, empower entrepreneurs and startups within the industry, and create a competitive environment that attracts both local and international investments crucial for the growth of the Saudi cybersecurity market.
