Riyadh, October 20, 2023, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts moderate to heavy thundershowers today, accompanied by strong winds in Jazan, Asir, and Baha regions, extending to Makkah. Additionally, fog is expected to form during the nighttime and early morning in southwestern heights and some Eastern Region areas.
In the Red Sea, the winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly in the northern and central regions, with speeds ranging from 15 to 40 km/h. In the southern part, they will shift from southerly to southwesterly, gradually becoming westerly to northwesterly, with speeds of 12 to 30 km/h and the possibility of thunderstorms.
Within the Arabian Gulf, you can expect southerly to southwesterly winds, gradually shifting to westerly in the northern and central parts during the day, with speeds of 12 to 30 km/h. In the southern part of the Gulf, winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly, registering speeds of 10 to 30 km/h.
