NCM predicts thundershowers, strong gusts, reduced visibility in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, October 26, 2023, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts that today some areas of Jazan, Asir, Baha, Makkah, and the Eastern Region may see moderate to heavy thundershowers, along with strong gusts, which will reduce visibility. The visibility will be affected by the thunderstorms and strong gusts that are expected in various areas of the Riyadh, Najran, and Madinah regions. Winds in the Red Sea would be northerly to northwesterly on the northern and central portions, measuring 12 to 35 km/h, and southerly to southwesterly, gradually turning northerly, throughout the night on the southern part, measuring 18 to 40 km/h, with thunderclouds. The winds in the Arabian Gulf would be northeasterly to northwesterly, with speeds between 15 and 45 km/h.
