Riyadh, Dec 28, 2023, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted moderate and torrential thundershowers, accompanied by strong winds, for some parts of the following regions in Saudi Arabia: Asir, Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Northern Borders, and Jawf. The thundershowers may also extend to the northern parts of the Eastern region. Additionally, fog formation is expected in some parts of these regions.
In the Red Sea, the winds are anticipated to be northwesterly to northeasterly in the northern and central parts, with a speed ranging from 15 to 40 km/h. In the southern part of the Red Sea, southeasterly to southwesterly winds are expected, with a speed of 12 to 30 km/h, along with thunderstorms towards the Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
For the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly winds are forecasted, with a speed ranging from 15 to 45 km/h.
