Riyadh, April 28, 2024, The National Center for Security Operations (NCSO) has reported a significant number of emergency calls received during 2023, amounting to 30,136,146 across Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Region through the 911 hotline. The majority of these calls, totaling 26,148,420, were inquiries and service requests. Additionally, there were 3,987,726 calls related to traffic accidents and humanitarian emergencies, along with 1,127,829 calls received during the 1444 AH Hajj season.
Efficient management of these calls was ensured by the Unified Security Operations Centers, operating round-the-clock to direct each call to the appropriate security service or service provider. These centers are equipped with advanced automated systems and staffed by a multilingual team, guaranteeing accurate and swift call routing while upholding professionalism.
The establishment of the Unified Security Operations Centers stands as a pivotal initiative by the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Quality of Life Program, highlighting the government's dedicated endeavors towards enhancing public safety and security.
