Riyadh, December 31, 2023, The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) is actively involved in various initiatives aimed at promoting community partnerships and encouraging volunteer work to preserve and sustain environmental balance.
Recognizing volunteerism as a humanitarian practice, the center provides opportunities for community members, including students, to contribute and raise awareness about the crucial importance of protecting ecosystems. These efforts align with the National Environment Strategy and the Saudi Green Initiative.
To date, 176 volunteers from diverse segments of society have participated in the center's initiatives. Together, they have collected and disposed of 5.2 tons of waste. Community events organized at the center's nature reserves strengthen the concept of volunteering, with a special focus on activities such as cleaning reserves, particularly among the youth.
NCW remains committed to encouraging volunteerism, recognizing the pivotal role it plays in driving growth, development, and better living standards. This commitment aligns with the goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to reach one million volunteers as part of its broader vision for the nation's quality of life and sustainable development.
