NEOM, April 28, 2024, NEOM, situated in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia, recently welcomed representatives from 52 global, regional, and local financial institutions. During their visit to NEOM, guests had the opportunity to witness the significant progress made in key projects such as THE LINE, the Oxagon, Trojena, and Sindalah—a luxury island destination slated to open soon.
Visitors gained insights into the overall NEOM project and explored potential investment opportunities. They also engaged in focus sessions with NEOM's leadership team to discuss potential strategic partnerships.
The event served as a platform to highlight NEOM's commitment to sustainable growth and development, with a particular emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. A notable aspect of the program was a site visit to THE LINE, where guests observed the rapid progress of phase one construction and gained a deeper understanding of the project's innovative design.
NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr expressed enthusiasm about the project's bold vision and its potential for global impact. He emphasized NEOM's ongoing efforts to forge strong partnerships that drive the project forward, offering commercial opportunities for organizations worldwide.
The event attracted representatives from 24 international banks and financial institutions spanning Germany, Spain, France, England, the US, China, Japan, and Korea. Additionally, 13 regional banks from Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, along with 15 financial institutions from Saudi Arabia, participated in the event.
Notably, NEOM recently orchestrated a significant public-private partnership valued at over SAR21 billion for accommodation services. Furthermore, the project announced a SAR37.5-billion joint venture with DSV to provide logistics services, highlighting NEOM's continuous progress and strategic collaborations.
The positive reception of these partnerships and NEOM's vision was evident at Discover NEOM China, a recent event held in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, attended by over 500 senior business and industry leaders.
