NEOM opens cornerstone project, showcasing cutting-edge, scalable digital infrastructure

A prominent cognitive technology and digital infrastructure company officially opened NEOM's cornerstone project, demonstrating their commitment to delivering strategic, cutting-edge, scalable digital infrastructure.

The facility, which is situated in Oxagon, will improve digital connection, information security, and network resilience both now and in the future in order to satisfy rising demand and the region's long-term goals.

The Center will provide some of the fastest and most dependable network speeds available anywhere on the globe as a significant upgrade to NEOM's current ICT infrastructure. It will support the demands of construction across the NEOM region and be strategically located in Oxagon, the hub of advanced and clean industries in NEOM. It will also keep an increasing number of residents and businesses connected securely and without interruption, lowering operating costs.

The Center's cutting-edge, scalable capabilities will enable NEOM's networks to keep up with future demands, support next-generation automated technologies and enterprises, and deliver predictive and cognitive services throughout the region. The Center serves as a cornerstone of the larger digital infrastructure that is envisioned for NEOM.

The Chief Executive Officer of NEOM, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, stated: "The debut of the Tonomus Another significant turning point in the growth of NEOM is the NEOM Telecommunications Center. This center will help us achieve our goal of creating a modern, forward-thinking region that puts livability first and has infrastructure and services that are made to offer people more time to live their lives to the fullest. An estimated 300,000 construction workers will be needed at NEOM by 2025, and the Center will power a software-driven network and secure private cloud that will serve up to 60 locations, 1,800 structures, and 200 million IoT devices by 2030. In order to provide end users with a smooth experience, it will also interface with important current and upcoming national and international digital networks and services.

The completion of the facility is a key element of the company's strategy to become a leading provider of ICT and digital services and demonstrates Tonomus' ability to deliver cutting-edge, future-proof digital infrastructure in collaboration with top global technology vendors and industry partners.

The facility site is 18,000 m2, and 150 people are employed in a two-story office structure there. Along with promoting innovation to support ongoing enhancements and improvements to NEOM's digital network capabilities, it will also act as a focal point for continued engagement with telecom solution providers and technology partners. The Center will be able to offer the secure, resilient, highly capable networks required to deploy autonomous technologies and infrastructure, support advanced and clean industries, and give future tenants a competitive advantage thanks to its strategic location in Oxagon, where it will benefit from integration with the larger innovative ecosystem of the reimagined industrial city.
