Nissan Formula E Team earns 26 points in strong Season 10 start at Diriyah

Nissan Formula E Team made a strong start in Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, accumulating 26 points in Round 3 in Diriyah. After a challenging Friday, the team rebounded impressively in the second event of the double-header.

Sacha Fenestraz secured the top spot in Qualifying Group A, while Oliver Rowland, joining him in the Duels after setting the fastest time in Group B, earned victory in all three Duels. Rowland's performance secured the three points for the Julius Baer Pole Position.

In the 36-lap race, Rowland finished in third place, returning to the podium in just his second race weekend back with the team. Fenestraz had a strong run, battling with competitors and securing his first points of the season by finishing in sixth place.

The team's success in qualifying, the Duels, and the race demonstrated the progress made by Nissan Formula E Team. The Formula E season will resume after a seven-week break, with the São Paulo E-Prix scheduled for March 16.

Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Team Principal of Nissan Formula E Team, expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, emphasizing the hard work put in by the entire team. He highlighted the significant progress made and expressed confidence in building on this performance in upcoming events.

Oliver Rowland, the team's driver, considered the result a great achievement for the team and a source of confidence for the season ahead. Despite a challenging start in the race, Rowland showcased the team's determination and was content with securing a podium finish.

Sacha Fenestraz, reflecting on the weekend, acknowledged the ups and downs but highlighted the positive turnaround in pace. He expressed satisfaction with the team's solid points finish and trophy and looked forward to approaching the rest of the season with a positive mindset.

The break before the next round provides an opportunity for the team to analyze and build on the performance in preparation for the São Paulo E-Prix. The team aims to continue the positive momentum and achieve even better results in the upcoming races.
