Riyadh, December 17, 2024 – The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has officially launched its ambitious “No Limits” campaign, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s efforts to promote coastal tourism. The initiative comes in conjunction with the inaugural voyage of Aroya, Saudi Arabia's first-ever cruise ship to sail in the Red Sea, signaling the country’s growing presence in the marine tourism sector. This campaign aims to stimulate greater participation in a variety of coastal tourism activities, including cruises, yachting, diving, snorkelling, recreational fishing, boating, and beach activities.
The “No Limits” campaign is designed to showcase the Red Sea’s unparalleled natural beauty, which includes warm winter climates, vibrant coral reefs, and miles of golden sandy beaches stretching over 1,800 kilometers. With these unique attractions, the region has the potential to become a leading destination for marine tourism. The campaign seeks to highlight these offerings while emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism practices. SRSA’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of both tourists and operators, while preserving the fragile marine environment, is central to the initiative. The aim is to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for visitors through well-regulated, high-quality services from certified operators.
The campaign's launch coincides with the arrival of Aroya, the first Saudi cruise ship, which is expected to play a key role in the region’s growing cruise tourism sector. This represents a major step in expanding Saudi Arabia's coastal tourism activities and aligns with SRSA's ongoing efforts to regulate, organize, and enhance the sector in line with the country’s Vision 2030 objectives. SRSA is working to create a robust tourism infrastructure, offering tourists access to structured and organized experiences through certified operators. This includes a variety of activities tailored to different interests and ages, all designed to meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
As part of the campaign’s broader objectives, SRSA has issued its first Maritime Tourism Agent License to the Red Sea Cruise Company, Cruise Saudi, and also granted the inaugural Leisure Tourism Technical License for the Aroya cruise ship. In addition to these groundbreaking developments, SRSA has introduced a set of regulations and four Technical Codes to further strengthen the Kingdom’s coastal tourism infrastructure. These measures are intended to enhance the quality of tourism services, attract further investment, and solidify Saudi Arabia’s position as a premier destination for marine and coastal tourism. This ongoing transformation underscores the Kingdom's dedication to building a thriving tourism sector that aligns with global best practices and contributes to the broader goals of Vision 2030.
