Riyadh, October 25, 2024 – The Noor Riyadh festival, an integral component of the Riyadh Art Program, is set to return for its fourth edition with the captivating theme "Light Years Apart." This vibrant celebration of light and art will take place across three prominent venues in the capital: the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Wadi Hanifa, and JAX District.

Scheduled to run from November 28 to December 14, 2024, this year’s festival promises an exciting array of over 60 installations created by both Saudi and international artists. These works will not only illuminate the city but also reflect the rich tapestry of cultural narratives that characterize the region. Alongside the stunning light displays, Noor Riyadh will host a variety of workshops, art discussions, and community engagement programs, fostering an interactive environment that encourages dialogue and exploration among attendees.

The selected venues for this year’s festival have been chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their historical and cultural significance. The King Abdulaziz Historical Center, a key cultural landmark in Riyadh, serves as an ideal backdrop for the event. Known for its exhibitions and museums that showcase the Kingdom’s rich heritage, this venue allows visitors to immerse themselves in a unique blend of history and contemporary art, making it a standout destination for festival-goers.

Wadi Hanifa, renowned for its natural beauty, provides a picturesque setting for open-air light installations. The natural landscape enhances the aesthetic experience, with interactive artworks designed to engage visitors in a dialogue with their surroundings. This fusion of nature and art invites attendees to explore the connections between the environment and artistic expression.

Meanwhile, the JAX District has established itself as a hub for contemporary arts, featuring a dynamic array of exhibitions, art studios, and cultural initiatives. This venue will showcase modern artistic expressions, offering a platform for emerging and established artists alike to present their innovative works to the public.

With 17 days of diverse cultural programming, guided tours, and interactive experiences, Noor Riyadh 2024 aims to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds. The festival not only celebrates the beauty of light art but also highlights the importance of community involvement in the arts.
