Gaza, January 1, 2025 – New Saudi aid convoys, consisting of 31 trucks loaded with 4,494 shelter kits, arrived in the northern Gaza Strip today to support residents and displaced people in Gaza City. This timely shipment aims to address the growing humanitarian needs in the region, where families continue to face extreme hardships due to the ongoing conflict.
The shelter kits, part of the larger Saudi aid effort, are designed to meet the immediate needs of families. Each kit contains blankets, mattresses, cooking utensils, water containers, and other essential items to help people cope with the difficult living conditions in Gaza. These provisions will be crucial for residents as they endure severe cold weather and the ongoing challenges of displacement.
The aid is part of an extensive campaign to raise funds for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, launched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). This initiative is under the direct guidance and instructions of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, reflecting the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to alleviating the suffering of those in Gaza.
The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the executive partner of KSrelief in the Gaza Strip, will begin distributing the shelter kits immediately. The distribution efforts are focused on displaced families in northern Gaza, with the goal of helping them cope with the severe cold and ongoing siege. By providing these essential supplies, Saudi Arabia continues its vital role in supporting the people of Gaza during this challenging period.
