Beirut, February 16, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has successfully continued its vital work in Lebanon through the implementation of the fourth phase of the Al-Amal Charity Bakery Project. This initiative, which focuses on providing essential food assistance to vulnerable communities, specifically in the Akkar Governorate and Miniyeh District of northern Lebanon, has significantly contributed to alleviating the hardship faced by displaced families and marginalized populations.

Last week, as part of this ongoing effort, KSrelief distributed a remarkable 175,000 bundles of bread to those in dire need. This large-scale distribution effort reached a total of 12,500 families, including Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as members of the host community. The initiative has been crucial in addressing the basic food security needs of these families, many of whom have been facing challenges due to the compounded effects of conflict, economic instability, and displacement.

The Al-Amal Charity Bakery Project is an integral part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian response to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon. It aims to provide immediate relief while simultaneously fostering long-term self-sufficiency and community resilience. By distributing bread—a staple food item—the project ensures that essential nourishment reaches those who need it most.

This initiative also demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to refugees and vulnerable communities not only in Lebanon but across the Middle East and beyond. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom continues to stand as a steadfast partner in humanitarian efforts, working to alleviate suffering and improve the quality of life for displaced individuals and families across the region.

The impact of the Al-Amal Charity Bakery Project is far-reaching, as it serves as a lifeline to thousands of families struggling to meet their basic needs, bringing hope and tangible relief to communities in crisis.
