
Riyadh, March 21, 2025 – The National Water Company (NWC) has completed three significant water and sanitation projects in Al-Kharj and Al-Sulayel governorates in the Riyadh Region, installing over 119 kilometers of pipelines and networks at a cost exceeding SAR210 million.
In Al-Kharj, NWC finished the sixth phase of the sewage network, extending 47.5 kilometers, and expanded the lifting station to handle over 57,000 cubic meters per day, enhancing services in Al-Worood, Al-Fursan, Al-Aaliya, and Al-Asamiya. This project, valued at more than SAR131 million, aims to improve wastewater management. Additionally, NWC installed eight water networks, connecting existing lines to desalinated water pipelines across nearly three kilometers, benefiting multiple districts at a cost exceeding SAR4.4 million.
In Al-Sulayel, NWC completed the first phase of the sewage network, spanning 68.5 kilometers, and constructed a lifting station with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day, with a total investment of SAR75 million.
These initiatives align with NWC’s ongoing efforts to enhance water distribution, minimize environmental impact, and promote water security and sustainability. The company reaffirmed its commitment to strategic plans aimed at improving operational efficiency and upholding the highest standards, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
