Jeddah, August 31, 2023, Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, the OIC's Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, met yesterday with Chandra Kumar, the consul general of Singapore in Jeddah. During the conference, prospective areas of cooperation with Singapore were reviewed, including Islamic banking and finance, halal food standards, agriculture and agribusiness, and Islamic tourism and cultural heritage. In order to support the socioeconomic development of OIC Member States, they also decided to work together to enhance capacity in a number of different areas.
