Jeddah, February 11, 2024, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly denounced the recent remarks made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government, concerning its ongoing military aggression and its intention to extend it to the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. Rafah currently serves as a sanctuary for over 1.3 million displaced individuals enduring severe living conditions.
In its statement, the OIC emphasized that the persistence and expansion of Israeli military aggression represent unacceptable endeavors aimed at forcibly displacing the Palestinian population from their homeland. The organization cautioned that such actions amount to genocide and could precipitate a humanitarian catastrophe, leading to widespread massacres.
Reiterating its appeal to the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, the OIC urged immediate intervention to bring an end to Israeli aggression in its entirety. Additionally, the organization called for the unhindered and unconditional delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the urgent need for international protection for the Palestinian people.
This condemnation by the OIC underscores the gravity of the situation and the imperative for swift and decisive action to avert further suffering and loss of life among the Palestinian population.
