Ambassador Youssef Al-Dubaie, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), kicked off the 22nd regular session of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) in Jeddah. The event saw the participation of key figures, including Dr. Hala Bint Mazyed Al-Tuwaijri and Turkish Minister of Justice Sevket Yilmaz.
The session delved into crucial discussions, with the first addressing Islamic and institutional standards to combat racial discrimination. The second session focused on global strategies against racial discrimination, while the third highlighted the role of media and national experiences in countering racial prejudice.
These discussions will span the week, covering diverse topics like civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights in OIC member states. Specific attention will be given to human rights violations in Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir. Resolutions are expected to be formulated to guide the IPHRC's action plan.
