OIC Secretary General Attends the Investiture Ceremony of the President of Chad

Taha extended his congratulations and best wishes to President Déby Itno and expressed hope for continued economic and social advancements in Chad.
The inauguration ceremony for Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, former President of Chad, took place on May 23, 2024, in Jeddah.

- On May 23rd, 2024, in Jeddah, the former President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, was sworn in.


- The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hissein Brahim Taha, was among those who graced the event.


Taha went further to congratulate President Déby Itno and wished him the best, with hopes for more social and economic progress in Chad.



Time is Jeddah, May 23, 2024. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, former President of the Republic of Chad, will undergo the inauguration ceremony today, which Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, attended.


The transition period closed on May 6, when President Déby Itno took the oath of office after winning the presidential election.


The first elected president of the Fifth Republic received greetings and well wishes from the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, who was present at the ceremony.


Furthermore, he expressed his optimism that the Chadian people will keep making social and economic progress.
