OIC Secretary-General Calls for Urgent Gaza Ceasefire

Antalya, April 12, 2025, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha emphasized that achieving regional stability requires urgent measures, particularly enforcing an immediate ceasefire to end the war in Gaza.
OIC Secretary-General made his remarks during the meeting yesterday of the ministerial committee, assigned by the Joint Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit on the aggression against the Gaza Strip held in Antalya,Türkiye. He underscored the need for a full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, providing humanitarian aid, and the swift implementation of Egypt’s reconstruction plan for the Strip.
He also welcomed the participation of friendly countries—namely the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Slovenia, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Ireland, the European Union, the Russian Federation, and the People’s Republic of China—stating that their involvement would enrich the meeting’s outcomes and support efforts to promote a just peace based on the two-state solution.
