Jeddah, February 08, 2024, Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), engaged in discussions with Ambassador Alia Yahya Menkouss, the Secretary-General of the Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad. The focus of their meeting was to explore avenues for bolstering cooperation relations between their respective entities.
During the dialogue, Taha expressed appreciation for Mauritania's proactive and constructive engagement within the OIC, particularly noting its role as the chair of the 49th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. He commended Mauritania's efforts in advancing the objectives of the OIC and fostering collaboration among member states in pursuit of shared Islamic initiatives.
