Riyadh, January 08, 2024, The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussain Ibrahim Taha, hosted the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Sherif Walid, at the OIC office in Jeddah. During the meeting, Ambassador Sherif Walid presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of Algeria to the OIC.
The discussions between the Secretary-General and the Ambassador centered around the commendable level of cooperation between the OIC and Algeria. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current collaboration and deliberated on future prospects to strengthen their ties further.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the exchange of views on matters of common interest, with a special emphasis on the Palestinian issue and other concerns affecting the Islamic nation. This diplomatic engagement underscores the ongoing commitment of the OIC and Algeria to addressing shared challenges and fostering collaboration within the Islamic community.
