Jeddah, September 23, 2023, On the fringes of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, Hissein Brahim Taha, secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), spoke with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, minister of foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The officials talked about methods to strengthen collective Islamic action as well as cooperation between Iran and the OIC. Additionally, they discussed a variety of topics of shared concern, such as the Palestinian cause, the situation in Afghanistan, and the OIC's initiatives to combat Islamophobia.
