Jeddah, February 28, 2024, On Tuesday, Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held a meeting with Hanke Bruins Slot, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the sidelines of the OIC's oral pleading before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague concerning the occupation of Palestinian territory.
During their encounter, the two officials discussed various matters of mutual concern. Secretary-General Taha conveyed the organization's profound unease over the persistent and severe Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian populace. He urged the Kingdom of the Netherlands to exert greater pressure on Israel, the occupying power, to cease its aggressive actions and facilitate the delivery of urgent humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
