Jeddah, November 4, 2024 – The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Saudi Arabia, Eugene Segore Kayihura, in a meeting aimed at enhancing the cooperative relationship between the OIC and Rwanda. The discussion centered on identifying new opportunities for partnership and collaboration, as both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening ties to address mutual interests and shared goals.
Secretary General Taha highlighted the OIC’s commitment to fostering closer relationships with member and observer states, noting the organization's support for sustainable development, peacebuilding, and regional stability across its member nations. Ambassador Kayihura expressed Rwanda’s interest in expanding its cooperation with the OIC, particularly in areas that align with the nation’s development objectives and its dedication to promoting peace and economic growth in Africa.
