Jeddah, September 09, 2023, Hissein Brahim Taha, secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), sent his condolences to the King, the Moroccan people, and the Moroccan government. The powerful earthquake that struck several provinces in the center of Morocco has so far resulted in 632 fatalities and 329 injuries, according to the Moroccan Ministry of Interior. He prayed for God to have pity on the victims and forgive them. He also wished the injured people a swift recovery. Taha conveyed the OIC's support and solidarity for the Kingdom of Morocco as it deals with the aftershocks of the powerful earthquake and moves past this natural calamity with its humanitarian implications.
