Jeddah, March 24, 2025 – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli cabinet's decision to separate 13 illegal settlements in the West Bank, viewing it as a step toward legitimizing them as colonial settlements in clear violation of international law and UN resolutions.
The OIC also denounced extremist remarks by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who framed this move as part of Israel's broader plan to assert sovereignty over the West Bank.
Additionally, the organization expressed deep concern over the establishment of a special Israeli agency under the guise of "voluntary departure," warning that any forced displacement or exile of Palestinians—whether individual or collective—violates international law, humanitarian law, and UN resolutions.
The OIC called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take decisive action against Israeli violations, including illegal settlements, house demolitions, forced displacement, and genocide, while urging sanctions and support for a two-state solution.
