OIC Strongly Condemns Crimes of Israeli Occupation in West Bank

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli occupation forces' recent actions in Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm, which resulted in 11 deaths, numerous injuries, and extensive damage to infrastructure.

The OIC labeled these actions as organized state terrorism and called for accountability under international criminal law.

The organization urged the UN Security Council to enforce relevant resolutions and provide protection to the Palestinian people, including in Jerusalem (Al-Quds Al-Sharif).

Jeddah, August 29, 2024 – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has issued a strong condemnation of the recent actions taken by the Israeli occupation forces in the Palestinian cities of Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm. These aggressive operations have tragically resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals, numerous injuries to civilians, and severe damage to essential infrastructure and civilian facilities.

In a statement, the OIC denounced these acts as part of a broader pattern of organized state terrorism perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. The organization emphasized that such actions are a blatant violation of international law and the principles of human rights.

The OIC holds the Israeli occupation directly accountable for these crimes and has called for immediate action under international criminal law to address these violations. Furthermore, the OIC has urged the United Nations Security Council to enforce its relevant resolutions to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, including the sacred city of Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem).

The organization also stressed the urgent need to provide protection to the Palestinian people amidst this escalating violence. The OIC’s call to action reflects a commitment to upholding international law and advocating for the rights and safety of Palestinians in the face of continued aggression.
