Al-Mahrah, April 08, 2024, On Sunday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) initiated the fifth phase of the Initiative to Empower Orphaned Families in Yemen's Al-Mahrah Governorate, coinciding with Arab Orphan Day on April 7. The project's goal is to address the educational, health, and living needs of 150 orphans from approximately 50 families in Al-Mahrah Governorate for a full year. Additionally, the initiative aims to train, support, and economically empower these families.

Specifically, the project seeks to economically empower 440 families with primary income earners by creating sustainable job opportunities, thereby providing income to cover their living, educational, and health needs. It also aims to enroll 1,300 orphans in the educational process and distribute school bags to them.

The overarching objective of this initiative is to foster self-sufficiency among 440 families and facilitate school attendance for 1,300 orphans. This initiative reflects the Kingdom's ongoing dedication to supporting orphans and enhancing their quality of life.
