On Tarwiyah Day, more than 54,000,000 food commodities were transported to Mina

The Ministry of Commerce dispatched field teams to check the food situation for pilgrims by visiting sales outlets in holy locations and verifying the availability of vital commodities and products.
Mina, located on the outskirts of Makkah, experienced a significant event on May 15th, 2024.

A significant incident occurred on the edges of Makkah on the 15th of May, 2024.



The Ministry of Trade and Commerce announced that it had delivered some 54,000,000 food items for pilgrims observing Tarwiyah Day.



This led to field teams from the Ministry's authority visiting business outlets around holy sites with focus on food situation among pilgrims thereby confirming presence of important goods and services.




A remarkable event happened on 15th May, 2024 near Makkah at Mina. The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) expects that approximately fifty four million food items will be supplied to Arafat before Hajj. Over fifty four million three hundred ninety eight thousand (54,398,000) sodas, bread types, water containers and ice cubes were green-lighted by the Ministry of Commerce to be imported into the country as measures towards ensuring safe food chains. The Ministry of Commerce confirmed the dispatch of its field teams to check the food situation for pilgrims by visiting sales outlets in holy locations and verifying the availability of vital commodities and products. They took this action to keep an eye on the situation. As part of their ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with consumer protection legislation and keep an eye out for commercial violations, the Ministry's teams continue to conduct sales inventory checks.
