Jeddah, March 1, 2025 – On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, extended heartfelt congratulations to the leaders and peoples of the Muslim nations. In a statement issued today, Taha conveyed his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the leaders of the OIC member states, and all Muslims worldwide, as they prepare to observe this sacred month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
Taha’s message was one of goodwill and solidarity, offering prayers for Allah's blessings and peace upon the Muslim nations during Ramadan. He also condemned the continuous violence and human rights violations in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and particularly at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a sacred site for Muslims around the world. Taha emphasized that the situation in these areas remains dire, with the suffering of innocent civilians exacerbating during the month of Ramadan.
