Makkah, March 2, 2025 – The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has officially announced the opening of registration for i‘tikāf (seclusion) during the upcoming month of Ramadan. Registration will begin on Wednesday, 9 Sha‘ban 1446 AH, at 11:00 a.m. through the authority's official website.
I‘tikāf, a significant spiritual practice in Islam where individuals seclude themselves in the mosque for prayer and reflection, is set to begin on the 20th of Ramadan and will continue until the end of the holy month. The General Authority emphasized that registration will remain open until the designated capacity is reached, so individuals are encouraged to register promptly to secure their participation.
