Operational Review by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud at the Hajj Security Command and Control Center in Mina


Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, visited the Hajj Security Command and Control Center in Mina to observe the activities taking place.




During his visit, Prince Abdulaziz assessed the implementation of Hajj security arrangements, pilgrim passage to holy places, and transportation to Arafat.




The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and Public Security developed artificial intelligence technologies to aid the security and organizational activities of Hajj security personnel, providing essential data and information for pilgrims to carry out their rituals comfortably.



Mina, the 15th of June, 2024. Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, visited the Hajj Security Command and Control Center, located in the headquarters of the Directorate of Public Security in Mina, today. His purpose was to observe the activities that were taking place. During his visit to the center's operations room, Prince Abdulaziz assessed the implementation of Hajj security arrangements, pilgrim passage to holy places, and transportation to Arafat. He also examined how those arrangements were implemented.


The Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, gave him a comprehensive briefing on the stages of carrying out Hajj security plans. The purpose of these plans is to ensure pilgrims' safety and security, as well as facilitate their movement within holy sites. The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and Public Security jointly developed the most recent artificial intelligence technologies and uses for Prince Abdulaziz. These technologies aid the security and organizational activities of Hajj security personnel in Makkah and the holy sites, providing essential data and information that enables pilgrims to carry out their rituals in a manner that is both easy and comfortable.
