Over 1,000 Participants from 50 Countries to Attend Road Safety and Sustainability Conference in Riyadh

The Roads General Authority of Saudi Arabia has announced the upcoming Road Safety and Sustainability Conference, which is set to take place on November 3 and 4, 2024, in Riyadh. In a press release issued today, the authority shared that the event will bring together over 1,000 participants from 50 countries, making it a significant global platform for addressing key issues related to road safety and sustainability.

The conference will focus on a wide range of topics that are critical to the future of transport and mobility. Participants will explore international best practices and cutting-edge technological advancements in the field of road safety. A major emphasis will be placed on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent transport systems in shaping future transport strategies. These systems have the potential to enhance road safety, improve traffic management, and increase the overall efficiency of transport networks. Moreover, the conference will feature discussions on innovative solutions and policies aimed at reducing emissions, thus addressing the growing concerns about the environmental impact of the transport sector.

In addition to road safety technologies, the conference will highlight the importance of vehicle safety standards and how better traffic management can contribute to reducing accidents and fatalities on the roads. A key goal of the event is to foster collaboration among global experts to develop sustainable, eco-friendly transport strategies that minimize the environmental footprint of the transport sector. Reducing emissions, enhancing vehicle efficiency, and ensuring sustainable infrastructure development will be central themes.

The event is organized by the Roads General Authority in partnership with the International Road Federation (IRF), and it is held under the patronage of Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads General Authority. This collaboration underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to leading global efforts in road safety and sustainability, as well as its dedication to adopting the latest technologies and innovative policies in the transport sector.
