Madinah, September 5, 2024 — The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has announced that the Prophet's Mosque successfully accommodated over five million Muslim worshippers, delivering an array of integrated and high-quality services to facilitate a seamless and efficient experience for all visitors.
The authority’s detailed statistics reveal that 483,822 individuals visited the Prophet's Mosque during this period, while 250,725 of these worshippers performed their prayers in the revered Holy Rawdah. To ensure the orderly conduct of prayers, the authority implemented meticulous organizational procedures to manage crowd movement effectively. These measures included scheduling optional prayer times for both men and women, allowing for a well-coordinated and tranquil prayer environment.
In addition to managing the large influx of visitors, the authority provided essential translation services, which were utilized by 74,486 individuals, ensuring that non-Arabic speaking worshippers could fully participate in the spiritual activities and services offered.
The extensive field services undertaken included rigorous sanitation efforts. A substantial 24,992 liters of disinfectant were used to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the mosque. In response to the needs of the worshippers, the authority distributed 1,640 tons of Zamzam water, a vital refreshment for the visitors.
