The volunteer hours exceeded 72,000; more than sixteen different service locations were available for volunteer opportunities.
Makkah: June 13, 2024. The Ministry of Health confirmed today that they anticipated 5,466 male and female health care and first aid volunteers during this year's Hajj season 1445 H. They are stationed across different places of work--with the Health Volunteer Center absorbing 3,000 while another 2,466 operate under the Saudi Red Crescent Authority--engaging more than 150 available volunteer programs at their disposal. Also, the analysis revealed that the total of volunteer work hours exceeded 72,000. The Ministry of Health announced this year that these volunteer opportunities represented a wide range regarding industries and critical professions and that they had been made available in more than sixteen different locations to serve Makkah, Madinah, and the Islamic sites. The seasonal center of the Ministry of Defense, the lounge of the pilgrims at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, the Tawaf courtyard at Holy Mosque in Makkah, and health centers in Arafat are the sites most apparently noticeable. On this way, the volunteers got a chance to give medical and psychological care to the pilgrims, besides responding to any emergency situation on the spot and raising awareness at pre-scheduled times.
