Riyadh, November 18, 2024 – The Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, Absher, demonstrated its commitment to digital transformation by processing over 6.3 million electronic transactions in October. This milestone highlights the platform’s integral role in providing seamless and efficient services to citizens, residents, and visitors.
More than 3.8 million transactions were conducted through the Absher Individuals platform, catering to a wide range of personal needs. Services included identity verification, electronic renewals of national ID cards, family registration updates, and various related functions. The General Directorate of Passports facilitated key services such as issuing exit and re-entry visas, processing residence permits, and managing electronic passport renewals and issuances.
The Directorate of Public Security contributed significantly by handling services related to vehicle registration renewals, driver license renewals, and other vehicle-related tasks. These efforts ensured convenience and efficiency for users across the country.
The Absher Business platform also played a significant role, processing over 2.5 million transactions. Key activities included issuing authorizations, managing the issuance and renewal of residence permits, conducting traffic violation inquiries, and supporting a variety of business-related services.
The Ministry of Interior’s report underscores the growing reliance on Absher as a comprehensive solution for streamlining administrative processes, reinforcing its role in enhancing accessibility and promoting a digitally integrated society.
