Madinah, February 29, 2024, The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has reported that the Prophet's Mosque received over 6,396,000 worshippers and visitors in the past week. The services provided were integrated and of high quality, facilitating the smooth and efficient performance of prayers by the crowds.
According to statistics released by the authority, 722,988 individuals visited the Prophet Mohammed's tomb, and 294,746 visitors performed prayers at Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa. The organization follows procedures to control the movement of crowds and schedule times for optional prayers for both men and women.
Additionally, the report highlighted that 11,111 elderly individuals and people with disabilities benefited from the services provided to them during the week. Other services included guidance services utilized by 107,684 visitors, translation services for 110,841, and information-seeking at the Prophet's Mosque's library by 13,301 individuals.
Visitors to exhibitions and museums totaled 4,910, with 128,047 gifts presented to visitors. Transportation services were utilized by 29,527 individuals. More than 150,000 bottles of Zamzam water were provided, and 196,051 Iftar meals were distributed in designated corridors of the mosque for those fasting.
These statistics reflect the comprehensive services offered at the Prophet's Mosque to ensure the comfort and well-being of worshippers and visitors, underscoring the commitment to facilitating a spiritually enriching experience.
