Over 7.7 Million Electronic Transactions through Absher Platform in July 2024


Absher processed over 7.7 million electronic transactions in July 2024, covering a wide range of services including identity verification, national ID renewals, and family registrations through its Individuals platform.


The General Directorate of Passports handled significant tasks such as issuing visas, residency permits, and electronic passports, while the Directorate of Public Security managed vehicle registration and driver's license renewals, along with mail document delivery requests.


The Absher Business platform saw over 2.5 million transactions, facilitating business services like authorizations, residency renewals, and traffic violation inquiries, reflecting the platform's extensive role in supporting both individual and business needs.


Riyadh, August 28, 2024 — The Ministry of Interior's electronic platform, Absher, has released a comprehensive report detailing its remarkable achievements in July 2024. The report highlights that Absher successfully processed over 7.7 million electronic transactions, reflecting a broad spectrum of services available to citizens, residents, and visitors across Saudi Arabia.


According to the report, the Absher Individuals platform was particularly active, managing more than 5.2 million transactions. These transactions encompassed a variety of essential services, including identity verification checks, electronic renewals of national ID cards, registrations for family members, and the usage of open data services. This platform plays a crucial role in facilitating everyday administrative tasks, thereby enhancing convenience and efficiency for users.

The General Directorate of Passports also made significant contributions, handling numerous tasks related to international travel and residency. This included issuing exit and return visas, processing residency permits, and managing Saudi electronic passports. These services are vital for both citizens and visitors, supporting smooth and streamlined travel and residency processes.


Additionally, the Directorate of Public Security processed various vehicle-related services, including the renewal of vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses. The report noted that 181,840 mail document delivery requests were also fulfilled, demonstrating the extensive range of services offered through Absher.


The Absher Business platform also saw substantial engagement, with over 2.5 million transactions completed. This platform supports businesses by facilitating authorizations, residency issuances and renewals, traffic violation inquiries, and other business-related services. The high level of activity underscores the platform's role in streamlining business operations and compliance.


Overall, the report underscores Absher's critical role in providing efficient and accessible electronic services, reflecting its continued commitment to enhancing administrative processes and supporting the needs of individuals and businesses across the Kingdom.
