Madinah, September 13, 2024 – The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque reported that it had provided a range of services to accommodate the large number of worshippers and visitors, totalling 5,410,089, who visited the Prophet’s Mosque last week.
In accordance with the authority's procedures for managing crowds and visit schedules, a statistical report revealed that 477,245 individuals visited to offer their greetings to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his two companions, while 230,823 visitors prayed in the sacred Rawdah area.
Additionally, communication services were extended to 77,054 visitors from different nationalities, offering assistance in multiple languages. The report also noted that 1,570 tonnes of Zamzam water was provided, and sanitation efforts involved the use of 24,176 litres of disinfectants. A total of 178 samples were collected for analysis. Moreover, 144,352 iftar meals were distributed to fasting individuals in designated areas of the mosque.
