Riyadh, September 22, 2023, General Sahir Shamshad, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with General Fayyad bin Hamed Al Ruwaili, the chief of the General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The seventh meeting of the Saudi-Pakistani Military Committee was held between the two sides, and a wide range of subjects were covered, most notably the established ties between the two friendly nations as well as cooperation and coordination in the military and defense sectors. Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf, chief of staff for the Pakistan Navy, and General Al-Ruwaili met there.
The two parties discussed measures to improve and expand their bilateral cooperation in marine security at the meeting.
