Makkah, February 8, 2024, The participants of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Umrah and Visit, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, were privileged to explore the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Kiswa. This renowned destination provided them with an immersive experience, allowing them to witness firsthand the intricate process of weaving the fabric for the revered Kaaba's covering cloth.
During their visit, guests had the opportunity to tour the complex and actively engage in the weaving process for the new Kiswa. This hands-on involvement offered them a deeper understanding of the significance and craftsmanship behind this sacred tradition. The complex serves as a valuable educational hub, enabling visitors to delve into the manufacturing techniques and rich history associated with the Kiswa.
This group represents the second cohort of participants in this year's program, comprising 250 esteemed Islamic figures hailing from 15 countries across Europe and South America. Among the represented nations are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Britain, Brazil, and Argentina.
Their presence underscores the international appeal and importance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program, fostering cultural exchange and spiritual enrichment among participants from diverse backgrounds. Through such initiatives, Saudi Arabia continues to promote unity and understanding among the global Islamic community, further reinforcing its role as the guardian of Islam's holiest sites.
