04/10/2023, In the fifth phase of the global sustainability initiative "Join the Porsche Ride," Porsche is collaborating with the Culture, Creativity, Convention & Exhibition Bureau of the Sichuan Tianfu New Area to establish a Sino-German competence and transfer center in Chengdu, China. This center will provide targeted training in occupational safety, health, and environmental protection to address the challenges posed by digital transformation. The initiative, which runs for three years, includes the development of a modular qualification program, the establishment of a competence and transfer center, teacher training, and the introduction of programs in educational institutions. It aims to promote sustainable development and local competence centers in the Pacific region. Certified trainers play a crucial role in the initiative, and it covers various levels of education from nursery to university. Porsche's commitment to social responsibility in China is further strengthened by this initiative, which aligns with its longstanding vocational training programs in the country. The Sichuan Tianfu New Area, where the initiative is based, has a strong industrial base and a focus on science and education. "Join the Porsche Ride" is a global initiative focused on environmental protection, community support, and social cohesion, using the Taycan as an ambassador.
