Porsche's upcoming showcase, the Mission X hypercar, is set to take center stage at the Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai on November 25-26, 2023. This all-electric hypercar features striking design elements, including Le Mans-style upward-opening doors, and is powered by an efficient electric drivetrain.
Accompanying the Mission X will be three iconic Porsche supercars: the all-wheel-drive 959, the V10-powered Carrera GT, and the hybrid 918 Spyder, each of which played a pivotal role in shaping Porsche's road and race cars over the years.
The Mission X concept aims to become the fastest road-legal vehicle at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, boasting an impressive power-to-weight ratio and enhanced downforce compared to the current 911 GT3 RS. Additionally, it promises significantly improved charging times with its advanced 900-volt system architecture.
Dr. Manfred Bräunl, CEO of Porsche Middle East and Africa, expressed excitement about this showcase, highlighting Porsche's continuous commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance technology.
The festival will also mark the regional debut of the Vision 357 Speedster Concept, a fully electric vehicle paying homage to the classic Porsche 356 while incorporating the latest technology from the 718 GT4 e-Performance.
Furthermore, the festival will feature the Porsche 718 Spyder RS, representing the pinnacle of Porsche's lightweight, naturally aspirated 718 sportscar lineage.
As part of the celebration of the Porsche 911's 60th anniversary, the 911 S/T will be on display, offering a unique blend of the 911 GT3 RS's high-revving 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with a manual gearbox and lightweight clutch.
