Madinah, Feb 11, 2024, The Precision Oncology Saudi Summit (POSS 2024), which commenced last Thursday and spanned three days, concluded its scientific sessions on Saturday, offering insights into the latest advancements, techniques, and scientific breakthroughs in the field of oncology.
Under the esteemed patronage of the Governor of the Madinah region, the conference was meticulously organized by the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC) at the prestigious King Salman International Convention Center.
Throughout the sessions, a diverse range of topics were explored, delving into precision oncology in pediatrics and hematological malignancies, led by Professor Scott Howard from the United States. Discussions also encompassed precision oncology surgery, the image-guided approach, and the application of precision medicine in pediatric solid tumors, with valuable insights shared by Dr. Muhammad Shibl Abdel-Baqi, also from the United States. Additionally, Dr. Victoria Harmer from the United Kingdom provided comprehensive insights into the needs assessments of cancer patients.
The summit served as a platform for the convergence of 50 speakers, comprising both local and international experts and specialists hailing from various countries. Together, they engaged in rigorous discussions on oncology, analyzing the latest scientific findings and dynamic developments shaping the landscape of oncological treatment.
