President of Senegal Leaves Riyadh

Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye departed Riyadh after attending the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit, where he joined discussions on regional unity and cooperation.

Riyadh, November 12, 2024 — The President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, departed Riyadh today following his participation in the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit. During his visit, President Faye engaged with leaders from the Arab and Islamic world, joining discussions that addressed pressing issues and strategies for regional unity, cooperation, and development.


As President Faye and his delegation made their departure from King Khalid International Airport, they were formally seen off by Saudi Ambassador to Senegal Saad Al-Nufaie and several other senior officials. The farewell ceremony underscored the diplomatic respect and cordial relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Senegal, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening ties within the Arab and Islamic communities.


President Faye’s participation in the summit highlights Senegal’s continued engagement with key international forums, aligning with broader goals to foster peace, stability, and economic growth through regional collaboration.
