São Tomé, October 12, 2023, President Carlos Vila Nova of São Tomé and Príncipe welcomed Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, and his delegation. During the meeting, Al-Jubeir conveyed greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressing their wishes for São Tomé and Príncipe's progress. They discussed cooperation, the upcoming Saudi-African Summit, and São Tomé and Príncipe's support for Saudi bids for Expo 2030 and the 2034 World Cup. Al-Jubeir also met with São Tomé and Príncipe's Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilza dos Santos Amado Vaz, to discuss mutual interests.
