Makkah, April 14, 2024, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan extended a warm welcome to Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, during his visit to Islamabad today.
Al-Issa's visit, in response to an official invitation, focused on discussions surrounding common interests, particularly in the realm of Islamic endeavors. Prime Minister Sharif commended the efforts and initiatives of the association, highlighting its recent international conference themed "Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects." This conference, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the auspices of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, garnered praise for fostering unity among scholars.
During the meeting, Sharif emphasized Pakistan's deep-rooted fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia, underscored by shared faith and Islamic values. He lauded the International Association's notable contributions in clarifying Islamic principles and addressing Islamophobia, expressing Pakistan's unwavering support for the association's endeavors both domestically and internationally.
