Prince Abdulaziz emphasizes Saudi's prowess in organizing major sports events

Jeddah, Mar 9, 2024, Minister of Sport and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, emphasized the Kingdom's prowess in orchestrating major sporting spectacles and activities.

His remarks coincided with the commencement of the 2024 Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, marking the second round of this year's Formula 1 World Championship. The prestigious event is scheduled to take place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit from March 7 to 9, 2024, marking the Kingdom's fourth consecutive hosting of this significant occasion within the global calendar of sporting events.

"We take great pride in once again hosting the Formula 1 competitions, underscoring the Kingdom's distinction in organizing large-scale sporting events and activities," stated Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal. He attributed this unparalleled achievement to the unwavering support and meticulous oversight provided by the visionary leadership of Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, President of the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC), lauded the return of the Formula 1 championship to the Kingdom. He noted that Jeddah's consecutive hosting of this prestigious sports event for the fourth time underscores the Kingdom's esteemed and pioneering position within the global sports arena, in alignment with the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has emerged as a premier global destination for hosting the most prominent international events and tournaments," added Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, highlighting the nation's ascent to prominence on the world stage of sports and entertainment.
