Riyadh, October 31, 2023, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, presided over the closing ceremony of the "Riyadh 2023" World Combat Games at the Arena Sports Hall at King Saud University on behalf of Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz. The event saw the participation of Deputy Minister of Sports Badr Al-Qadi, Assistant Minister for Sports Affairs Adwaa Al-Arifi, and President of the Sport Accord Organization Ivo Ferriani.
Held in the "Fan Zone," the closing ceremony featured captivating performances, musical interludes, and recognized the efforts of the volunteer teams, athletes, and medal winners. Prince Fahd bin Jalawi conveyed his delight at the intense competition spanning eleven days, highlighting the commitment of both male and female athletes across 16 sports. He stressed that the event's success was made possible through the generous support of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the vision of the Crown Prince, and the leadership and guidance of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki. These efforts have propelled Saudi sports onto the global stage. He concluded, "Today, we celebrate the fruits of visionary leadership and an ambitious nation dedicated to achievements."
